About
E.J. Mungovan

Born in San Diego, moved to Salt Lake City to study Film Production at the University of Utah, then stayed. A desire to create led the way: production startups, major resorts, Nordic Ski and Olympic athletes, international brands.

Capturing and manipulating light in ways that moved people meant everything. And then more of the brain wanted to be used — the desire to bridge creating and analyzing, building and capturing. Returning for a B.S. in Physics was an abnormal but somehow natural next step.

Graduate-level research, optics, astrophysics, Python, MATLAB, mathematical modeling. Physics is the science that makes film possible, and the basis for the strongest problem solvers in any room. Every project since has followed the same principle: find the problem, understand it completely, build something worth looking at.
